*ATTENTION PART OF THE ROUTE IS CURRENTLY CLOSED!!
Objective: walk up to the refuge by the most direct route, eat there and go down an alternative route.
Home: in a free parking area.
Climb: the first 500 m are done on an off-road track. The next 500 m is a pure trail. There is no loss. The difficulty is moderate due to the roots and rocks on the trail but beyond that there is no more complexity.
Descent: we decided to go to the other refuge (11km), along a beautiful path. Practically all flat. From here we decided to take the most direct route, A Senderito that went straight down to the car. After a few meters the path disappears and becomes a torrent, since the previous weeks it had been raining a lot. At kilometer 13 there is the possibility of taking a road that goes off to the right. It is recommended.
*Well, if you continue straight, the path is completely closed, it is a small ravine, with flights of stairs, ropes, bars, ladders, which due to the torrent are in many cases missing or have disappeared. We ended up turning around. Once back at the Hotel, we check the status of the route and indeed that section is closed. If you want to do this section of ravine, it is recommended to first check the condition in which it is located and secondly do it by going up.
