Itinerary description

This tough walk is really a challenge. It's entirely on the Marbella section of the Gran Senda De Malaga. (GR 249).

It is a roller coaster from start to finish with wonderful views of both the sea and mountains. There are some narrow sections, where it is going steep down besides the path, a few drops, steep up and down, and uneven and loose underfoot. It is only for fit and experienced hikers, who are used to paths, where it is difficult to place their feet.

The trail was easy to follow on my Garmin watch. Weather conditions were terrible; rain, fog and limited visibility halfway up the mountain. Following the route saved us the embarrassment of getting lost. The route can get a bit confusing at the top but that is due the nature of the terrain. Recommended.
