Itinerary description
I soloed the trail on 1.7.2017, and noticed another solo climber ascending close to the top on my way down. All parties roped up at the point where the trail from ref. Chabot joins. They stayed roped up to the top. A French queue at the summit had formed and was moving very slowly. Had to skip the last few meters to cross back the glacier while cold /crowdy peaks are not particularly appealing to me anyway/. The view on the other side of the ridge, suddenly revealed when you reach it, is stunning.
