Itinerary description
Start near east end of Burgoyne hotel, on path heading north onto Arkengarthdale Rd. After c.20 minutes, look for waymarked path to right, then a steady stroll along valley. Cross bridge, return down east side of Arkle beck to Reeth.
**Stay on main road for 200 yds (ignore mistaken route on map), then take path to Grinton bridge.
Take lane alongside Grinton church, than easy path by river, back to suspension bridge over Swale.
** After bridge, more direct right turn to Reeth is closed (Nov.2021), hence extra 20 min. west loop back into Reeth.
**Stay on main road for 200 yds (ignore mistaken route on map), then take path to Grinton bridge.
