Itinerary description
Ravenbourne Falls - these falls are on Buaraba creek within Ravesnbourne NP.
From the carpark follow the graded track as far as Buaraba creek. Here head off track down the creek for about 400 m. Here there is a footpad heading up on the East bank (waypoint 'creek exit'). This runs up to a series of disused forest trails starting at waypoint 'footpad'. I followed these trails as far as the 'Track junction' way point and then headed cross country through steep scrubby bush (via 'steep ridge') to reach the bottom of the falls. Alternatively you could follow my return route by continuing down the trail to the creek and then follow the creek down to the top of the falls. There are a series of attractive pools at the base of the falls and plenty of opportunity for exploration. From the bottom of the falls there is self evident ascent route on the Southern side. This is far more direct than my descent but could be difficult to identify from above. If you want head down this way head into the scrub to 'descent point' and then through waypoints 'transit 1' and 'transit 2'. It is a steep scramble but manageable.
