Itinerary description
We took the train steam train from Dalegarth station to Ravenglass and hike the way back.
There are two routes to follow from Ravenglass; through the top of Muncaster fell or the valley bellow. We went through the top (just be aware that the Moors on top get full of water and in some places up to the ankles).
Overall an easy and beautiful walk with astonishing views of the valley, of a castle, a Japanese Garden and waterfalls (if you feel like doing a couple of Kms once you are back).
Note that my route does not get you back to the station as my battery died at Skadale Green, 3km before reaching the final destination.
