Itinerary description
Visit four lakes on this looping trail.
The first climb from the starting point is a little bit steep, but flattens out after about 30 minutes, as you approach the fist lake (Querol).
All the lakes are nice places to relax and have a swim.
The climb from Bases de las Salamandres is also a bit steep, and the descent down to Cabana Sorda also is steep. The return loop back to Querol is more flat.
Only the first part of the hike has any shade. Once you get above 2200m (after about 2km or 45 minutes from the starting point ) there are very few trees and the trails have almost no shade. So do remember to bring sunscreen and a hat for sunny days.
We encountered a lot of horses grazing beside the trail, between Querol and Salamandre.
Enjoy!
