Itinerary description
The Rannajõe Observation Platform offers a broad view of the floodplain, which is particularly captivating in spring when it is flooded. Thousands of geese, swans and dabbling ducks, in the summer several species of waders, warbles, corn crakes and many others nest in the floodplain. Moose and roe deer wander around.
A 110 cm wide wooden path (with handrail on one side) leading to the 6 m observation platform is suitable for people in wheelchairs as well. But assistance is required to access the tower in a wheelchair because of the steep incline up to 32%. At the beginning of the boardwalk, there is an information board about the water meadow.
Parking is possible on the side of the road, no marked parking spaces on the site. The road is off the busy motorway and normally has no traffic.
