Itinerary description
Randa round walk over the Charles Kuonen suspension bridge (currently the longest in the world). Continue the walk up to the Europahutte at 2220m for some refreshments and beautiful views.
I started the route at the local camping site (Attermenzen) but you can easily also start from the train station if arriving by train, if arriving by car there is cheaper parking offered at the Matterhorn Golf Hotel. The trail is steep in places both going up and coming down, it is more or less continuously up before continuously down when you head down again. I would recommend walking poles. Whilst going up is just a question of fitness and leg power, going down is harsh on the knees, as well as bruised toe nails. But in all well worth the effort.
