Autumn hiking to the peaks of Keprník (1,286 m) and Šerák (1,351 m) in the High Jeseník mountain range, in the north-eastern Czech Republic, in the Eastern Sudetes. The route starts in Ramzova. Return via the Obří skály peak (1092 m).
It was our third climb to the summit of Šerák in the last two years, the previous time the fog limited visibility to almost zero and the snow was up to the waist. This time it was perfect in every way. Moreover, at Obří Skály, we had one of the most beautiful sunsets during our mountain trips.
By the way, information for MTB cyclists, which we also belong to. This section, especially at the Koňská vyhlídka viewpoint, is marked on the maps as a bicycle trail. The photos show that even a skilled cyclist, with a strong background in mountaineering, will not like this part of the route - it is simply impossible to ride it, either up or down. It is worth considering this fact when planning the route.
