Rampo Valley

This hike starts in New Jersey's Rampo Valley County Reservation in Mahwah County. From the parking lot take the Sliver trail to the Halifax trail which is about 2000 ft.
Once at the Halifax trail ( Green marker ) take a right and take the trail to Havemeyer ( Black - White marker ). Along the path about a half a mile there will be a view point called Hawk Rock. Make a left on the Havemeyer and take to its end where it intersects with the Ridge trail ( Blue marker ).
Make a right on the Ridge trail to where it intersects with the Schuber trail ( Orange marker ). Make a right and continue on the Red / Silver trail to the Shore Trail ( Blue marker ). Make a left onto the Shore trail and continue until it intersect with a White and Canonball trail ( Red Marker ). Make a right on the White to ligenstein Rock -- which provided a great view of the area.
From Ligenstein Rock take the Hoeferlin Memorial trail ( Yellow marker ) to Erskine Lookout point. Great view point of the Reservator. Back track a bit then make a right onto Green trail and take it to the Cannonball trail. Make a right on Cannonball trail and about a few feet then take the Yellow trail. Take the Yellow Trail to the Yellow-Silver trail. Along the way, there is a great view point.
From the point where the Yellow and Yellow-Sliver trail intersect, take the Yellow-Sliver trail back to the parking lot.

There is a option that will take you to Matapan Rock. From where the Yellow and Yellow/Silver intersect, take the Schuber trail ( Orange.r marker ) all the way to the Matapan Rock trail ( Red marker ). Take the MR trail to the Rock. Traverse the same trails in reverse order to get back to the Yellow/Sliver trail
