R-20190814 | Along the Saar (**(*); 41 IBP at most)

Nice walk (nothing extraordinary) along the Saar, starting and ending in Mettlach, Saarland. It leads up to the Burg Montclair (which was closed during our walk), with the Saar on both sides, and then down again to the hairpin curve in the river. A short ferry crossing takes you to the outer bank of the Saar, which subsequently you follow all the way back to Mettlach, which I found a wee bit monotonous. This walk can be considered easy (41p according to IBP, but this is most likely an overstatement, as the true elevation difference is probably only about half of what I recorded: the two peaks in the second half of the walk don't exist in reality, and the quality of this registration seems to be particularly poor in general). To be honest, I'm not sure whether I can recommend this walk... only if you like endless riverside views!
