Itinerary description
Very nice walk south-east of Gmunden, not in the least difficult or fatiguing as you go up the Grünberg by cableway (hence not scored according to IBP). On/around the top there are several leisure activities you may (or may not) want to undertake. From the top you can stroll down the mountain back to Gmunden following different paths (very easy). The one we took was only about 9 kilometres with less than 100 metres of true elevation gain. The walk is pleasurable enough (nothing spectacular), offering beautiful views and a variety of landscapes. If you're in the neighbourhood, this will offer you a nice day out. Decide before going up what you would and would not like to do, as combined tickets are a lot cheaper.
