Itinerary description
Surprisingly beautiful, at times even idyllic walk west of Abaliget, starting from the small local lake, where there is ample parking space. After following the lake for a couple of hundred metres and passing by a football field at your right hand side, after a total of just over half a kilometre you may have to do a wee bit of pathfinding, but there is definitely a narrow path, although a bit overgrown when we were there. This only last a few hundred metres, though, and after this you will mainly be following cart tracks and forest trails. The walk has a variation of interesting landscapes: open meadows with even 360° view at one point, beautiful beech forests, meandering streams, ... The walk goes up and down the hills, but is only moderately difficult (at most: 55p, 15,86km, 425m(+), 426m(-) & 5,6%/14%(+) according to IBP), and quite feasible even during the warm summer months (quite a lot of shade). I can strongly recommend this beautiful walk!
