Itinerary description
Starting from the centre of Žabljak, this hike leads you to the very edge of the Tara Canyon. It is actually possible to do most of this by ordinary car, so if you don't feel like walking, don't worry. A lot of this walk takes place on tarmac, but this is not really an issue, as the road is narrow and relatively quiet. The panoramic views from the edge of the canyon (entry fee EUR 3 per person) are magnificent. The way back is largely the same, with the exception of the last few kilometres. All-in-all this is only a moderately fatiguing hike (66p, 17,17km, 362m(+), 369m(-) & 4,4%/18%(+) according to IBP), suitable for anyone in reasonably good shape, except for those suffering from serious vertigo.

Lovely trail, 90% is unfortunately on the side of roads but as mentioned above, they are quiet and have places to stand aside for cars. The first and last 30 minutes have the best views, with the walk inbetween quiet and serene.
Do it on a clear day, the lookout at the end is exceptional!
If you take the right fork at the end first and then return the same way you can avoid the entry fee.

Schöner Wanderweg, auch wenn viel Straße dabei. Aber durch den teilweise schlammigen Boden durch die Schneeschmelze mochten wir auch wandern. Die Aussicht am Zielpunkt ist lohnenswert.

Infortunately 90% of road. Still, view on Tara Canyon is amazing. We did a return by a different way so it's more 60% of road.

Beau point de vue et nature sympathique avec la rencontre de vaches sur le parcours. En revanche beaucoup de voitures et de camions … et peu de place pour se ranger lorsqu’il y a des camions (5 au total sur la montée et au moins une voiture par minute).
Le goudron était déjà un bémol il y cinq ans, mais la circulation dense pas encore. Beaucoup paraît avoir changé... malheureusement.
