Itinerary description

Easy stroll going up Queenstown Hill.
This track starts from Queenstown city centre but you can also start from the beginning of the trail. see the waypoint called "Parking and start of track". There is plenty of space to park your car there.

The trail is fairly wide and easy and you can enjoy views of Queenstown as well as the surroundings.
Keep in mind that this track doesn't go all the way up to the summit of Queenstown Hill. It only goes up to a viewpoint and just after this spot there is a signpost indicating private property and forbidden access.
It's a pity that you cannot reach the true summit or even get to the summit of Sugar Loaf.

Enjoyable walk up, with fantastic views from the top. We parked just at the start of the trail on Belfast Terrace. There's a loop half way up; we went right at the fork going up and came down the other side (following the gps trail). I think the right hand branch is a more gentle incline and less eroded underfoot. (The track isn't on the offline wikiloc map but is on OSM and eg organic maps).

Allow plenty of time to enjoy the views at the top and chat to other happy hikers!
