Itinerary description

From the Competa Football Ground, upwards to the Vigilancia on Cerro Gavilan. Then down to the ruined Cortijo Maria Dolores and onwards to Puerto Blanquillo via another ruin, the Venta Pradillos. Return via the same route, but omitting the summit of Cerro Gavilan. The route mostly follows the recently-designated GR-249, but varies to include Cerro Gavilan and also about 15 minutes before reaching Puerto Blanquillo. There are fine views of the Sierra Almijara from Cerro Gavilan onwards.
