Itinerary description
This walk starts from the municipal football stadium in Osunillas in Mijas. (Just past Km1 on the A386, Mijas to Benalmadena road)
The walk has quite a few undulating ups and downs.
In many places it is stony and rocky especially in the riverbed.
The route passes the Bella Vista Urbanisation (on your right).
There are some lovely views on this walk - Mijas village, Fuengirola port, Benalmadena, and past La Cala.
Arriving at Puerto Blanco you have spectacular views and it is a lovely spot for a picnic.
This is a linear walk, returning the same way you came. There are two intersections where you can go onto the main road and return that way, but for safety reasons I wouldn't recommend it.
A walking pole will be very useful on the descents
