Itinerary description
Beautiful trail to the outskirts of Mount Baker. The long there-n-back trail follows the ridge with changing views of the volcanoes Baker and Shuksan, deep valleys, blue and jade-green lakes, glaciers and fall colors. Although the height difference is serious, the steepness is felt only on the last climb to the Portals east.
