Itinerary description

Part of the San Isabel National Forest. 3.2 miles one-way, starting at a clearly defined trailhead with restroom facilities. The hike is a steady climb of 1300' to the lake, and a steady descent back to the trailhead. Beautiful mountainside hike that goes along a stream, past mountain meadows, great views of adjacent mountainsides, lots of conifers and aspen trees, and several lakes are encountered at the very end.
