Itinerary description
EN: Start: from Transylvanian Villa (Strada Liviu Rebreanu 22, Predeal 505300).
The hike starts with the relaxing Poliştoaca Promenade, which climbs slightly to the upper limit of Predeal. We continue on the forest road and on a small path (be careful not to miss the change of direction) it takes you on Muchia Susaiului, in Poiana cu Brazi. We leave the forest on The Ski Slope Cocoşul and climb steeply to Clăbucet Departure (blue cross marking). After admiring the view that opens towards Bucegi, Piatra Craiului, Braşov Depression, Postăvarul and Piatra Mare, we descend towards Gârbova Chalet. After a well-deserved break at the chalet we continue through a beautiful forest towards Predeal (blue triangle marking).
RO: Plecare: de la Vila Transilvania (Strada Liviu Rebreanu 22, Predeal 505300).
Drumeţia începe cu relaxanta Promenadă Poliştoaca care urcă uşor spre limita superioară a Predealului. Continuăm pe drumul forestier şi pe o mică potecă (atenţie să nu rataţi schimbarea de direcţie) vă scoate pe Muchia Susaiului, în Poiana cu Brazi. Ieşim din pădure pe Pista Cocoşul şi urcăm abrupt la Clăbucet Plecare (marcaj cruce albastră). După ce admirăm priveliştea care se deschide spre Bucegi, Piatra Craiului, Depresiunea Braşov, Postăvarul şi Piatra Mare, coborâm spre Cabana Gârbova. După o pauză meritată la cabană continuăm printr-o frumoasă pădure spre Predeal (marcaj triunghi albastru).

This hike is really amazing, there is a good balance of deeper
forest, plains and
mountains and the views are stunning. I was the only hiker on the path when i went (Thursday, August). I was a bit afraid to walk alone due to the bear situation, but it was not so much of an issue. I met one baby bear and heard its mother, as long as you make enough sound and have some bear spray just in case it should be fine. The hike is short and not really difficult, just the extreme ascent/descent can be tiring.
