Itinerary description
Start at the May Hotel and follow the road to the right of the gorge, ie. you have the gorge at your left hand. The road ends after approximately 3 km. Hereafter you enter the gorge. After 7 to 8 km you will have to pass some large stones where you will have to clime. After 9,5 km the gorge ends and you enter a gravel road straight in front of you. Follow the gravel road to the country road where you go right up to a very nice taverna. They can help you with the bus back to Rethymno or order a Taxi (25 EUR).
In the beginning you will see a lot of trash a long the road. But Hereafter it becomes a lovely hike. Enjoy.
