Itinerary description

We had driven by car to Kissamos, then to Gramvousa and a 3km dirt road near the mountain and the cliff to get to a Parking where we park the car and start the hiking.

The hiking to Balos beach is 1,5km (total 3km) walking in a terrain with lots of mud and rocks (we had gone in a rainy season, in autumn). From the parking to the beach we walk down the hill and from the beach to the parking is up the hill through rocky stairs. This part is easy and almost anyone can do (of course some with dificulty).

The second part of the hike is to go Balos viewpoint, and amazing place where you can look to Balos beach and the big mountain behind. Its a 1km (total 2km) hike up the hill from Balos Beach to Balos viewpoint passing through a fisherman house? with a greek flag and around the goats' habitat in a arenous and rocky trail. The orientation is not so easy because there are more than on possible path. But there are rock totens that help to orientate.
