Prague (Czech: Praha) is the capital of the Czech Republic. Known as the "hundred-domed city", Prague is one of the most beautiful and ancient urban centers in Europe, famous for its extensive architectural heritage and rich cultural life. Located in central Bohemia, the city of Prague is located on hills, on both banks of the Vltava river, shortly before its confluence with the river Elbe. The winding river course through the city, full of beautiful and ancient bridges, contrasts with the imposing presence of the great Prague Castle in Hradcany.
The course presented here aims to show you what to visit in Prague for a three-day stay.

It is the shortest bridge of the main bridges that crosses the Vltava river in Prague.
KRÁLOVSKÁ ZAHRADA
To the north of Prague Castle, the Royal Garden was created at the request of the emperor Fernando I in 1540. The castle is a wonderful place to walk, which has several spaces decorated with sculptures and architectural works of great quality. During the tour, one can enjoy magnificent panoramic views.
SCHWARZENBERSKÝ PALÁC
The Schwarzenberg Palace, designed by the architect Agostino Galli in the late 16th century, overlooks the square in front of Prague Castle and is an essential part of Prague Castle. It is the second most important Renaissance building in Prague, after Queen Anne's summer palace. The facade and the walls are richly decorated with sgraffito of the Italian north and Venetian type dating from 1567.
PRAŽSKÝ HRAD
Prague Castle (Pražský hrad) is located on Hradcany Hill, where the city was founded, which dominates the capital on the left (western) shore of Vltava.
Prague Castle is one of the most important buildings in the city. It was founded in the 9th century and currently serves as the presidential residence, formerly inhabited by the kings of Bohemia. Inside it is St. Vitus Cathedral, Powder Tower, Royal Castle of Prague Castle, Dalibor Tower, St. George Convent, Lobkowicz Palace and the Golden Lane.
Prague Castle occupies an area of over 72,500 square meters. Because of this, it is considered, according to the Guinness World Records Book, the largest castle in the world.
KATEDRÁLA SVATÉHO VÍTA
St. Vitus Cathedral is one of the main buildings in the city of Prague and the largest church in the Czech Republic.
Located in Prague Castle and being built together with the castle, the construction of the cathedral in its present Gothic style was begun in 1344 and finished, after an interruption of the works in century XV, only in 1929. It is emphasized - between others - the great 14th-century St. Wenceslas Chapel, comprising more than 1,000 semi-precious stones, along with frescoes of biblical themes.
BAZILIKA A KLÁŠTER SV. JIŘÍ
The Romanesque St. George's Basilica was built in 921 by order of Prince Vratislav, the father of Prince Wenceslas. Its exterior was remodeled at the beginning of the Baroque period, although its surprising reddish color is the same one that originally appeared in century X. The interior, nevertheless, after an important renovation, presents / displays a similar aspect to the one that had in century XII and is the the best preserved Romanesque monument of the Czech Republic. The effect is at once austere and placid, the warm golden yellow of the stone walls and aspequeñas triple arch windows exude a sense of permanent harmony.
PALÁCOVÉ ZAHRADY
Underneath the Castle, a set of gardens extend the royal gardens, surrounding the fortress like a true necklace of vegetation. Recovered in the twentieth century, they represent a real landscape, in which majestic trees and the small belvederes that reminisce the past centuries are conserved.
VALDSTEJNSKY PALÁC
Wallenstein Palace, this magnificent residence was built at the beginning of the s. XVII by General Albrecht Wenzel Eusebius von Wallenstein.
MALOSTRANSKÉ NÁMĚSTÍ
The Market Square, now called Malostranské náměstí, was one of the most central points of Malá Strana and this square was divided into two, upper and lower part, separated by the Church of St. Nicholas.
CHRÁM SV. MIKULÁŠE
The Church of St. Nicholas of Malá Strana, masterpiece of the architects Dientzenhofer father and son, is one of the most beautiful baroque churches in central Europe and without a doubt the maximum expression of the Baroque in Bohemia. Its monumental dome, its bell and its undulating facade stand out on the roofs of Malá Strana.
NERUDOVA
One of the most beautiful streets in Prague, it is the gateway to the Little Quarter from Charles Bridge, which takes us to Prague Castle, part of the royal road.
VRTBOVSKÁ ZAHRADA
Public garden accessible from Karmelitská street, the garden is part of the most beautiful baroque gardens of Prague. As soon as you pass through the arch decorated with an athletic Hercules, you will pass to another, intimate and bright world, full of works of art and with panoramic views of the Malá Strana quarter.
MUSEUM KAMPA
It is the museum of modern art in Prague, whose collection and exhibitions focus mainly on Central and mainly Czech art. The collection is from the private collection of Meda Mladek, wife of Jan V. Lladek. Known for having a contemporary eccentric art collection located on the banks of the Vtava River, housed in an old mill, named after Vaclav Sova, its original owner of the 15th century.
KARLŮV MOST
The Charles Bridge (in Czech Karlův most) is the oldest bridge in Prague, and crosses the Vltava River from the Old Town to the Lesser Town. It is the second oldest bridge in the Czech Republic. Its construction began in 1357 at the request of King Carlos IV, and was finalized at the beginning of century XV. Being the only way to cross the river, the Charles Bridge became the most important communication route between the Old Town, Prague Castle and the adjacent areas until 1841.
STAROMĚSTSKÉ NÁMĚSTÍ
Old Town Square, historical square on the Old Town square right in the center of Prague.
Located between Wenceslas Square and Charles Bridge, the Old Town Square is always crowded with tourists. It is extremely important for the Czechs as it is possible to find buildings in various architectural styles, such as the Gothic-style Týn Cathedral and the baroque St. Nicholas Church. Thus, the square has become an oasis for travelers from the narrow streets of Prague.
In addition to the churches, other great attractions of the square are the Astronomical Clock, called Orloj, the statue of Jan Hus and the Tower of the Old City, which allows a panoramic view of the whole square.
ORLOJ
The Orloj is a medieval astronomical clock. It is composed of three main components: the astronomical display, representing the position of the Sun and the Moon in the sky, besides showing several celestial details; the "Walk of the Apostles", a mechanical show represented at every hour exchange with the figures of the apostles and other sculptures with movement; and a calendar display with medallions representing the months (or zodiacs, as they appear in some texts).
PRAŠNÁ BRÁNA
The Powder Tower is a part of the interior of Prague Castle. It was one of the 13 defensive towers that were part of the walls that surrounded the old city in 1232, but it is the only one that is standing these days.
Through this gate were access to medieval Prague the trade routes from the Czech royal city of Kutná Hora, Eastern Bohemia, and those from Poland and the Baltic.
Already during the reign of Maria Theresa of Austria (century VIII), the Door or Tower of the Gunpowder happens to stop having defensive functions to become a warehouse of gunpowder - hence the present name.

Very nicely documented tours. Two major changes in between: no tourists due to covid19, this might not be for so long, but probably here to last, a Marial column on Old tow square, replica of the one torn down in 1918. Loooots of debates about this, at it is controversial due to specific relationship between Czechs and Catholic church
