Itinerary description
A short section of the PR7 from the village of Mizarela to the Ribeira da Castanheira waterfall, and then back along the same track.
This route starts and ends at a spacious parking area, just outside Mizarela.
It is a scenic route, with views across the valley. Some of the trail is rocky and requires some caution. One segment has rails and chains attached to the rock wall for safety. I have therefore rated it as moderate. Having said that, my 11-years old grandson managed the route without a problem.
