Itinerary description
O percurso começa junto à estrada regional (ER105), na zona do Rabaçal.
A Levada do Alecrim foi construída para transportar a água das ribeiras do Lajeado e Alecrim para o abastecimento da Central Hidroeléctrica da Calheta.
Ao longo do caminho, pode desfrutar de vistas deslumbrantes sobre o vale do Rabaçal e a Ribeira da Janela. Entre as ribeiras do Alecrim e do Lajeado, a levada tem um declive e escada lateral
Na nascente da Levada do Alecrim, na Ribeira do Lajeado existe uma pequena lagoa, conhecida como Lagoa “Dona Beja”, que vai alimentar a cascata da Lagoa do Vento.
O retorno foi feito pelo mesmo caminho.
Fizemos esta cainhada após visitar a Levada das 25 Fontes e a Levada do Risco.

The route starts along the regional road (ER105), in the Rabaçal area.
The Levada do Alecrim was built to transport water from the Lajeado and Alecrim streams to supply the Calheta Hydroelectric Power Plant.
Along the way, you can enjoy breathtaking views over the Rabaçal valley and the Ribeira da Janela. Between the streams of Alecrim and Lajeado, the levada has a slope and side stairs
At the source of Levada do Alecrim, in Ribeira do Lajeado, there is a small lake, known as Lagoa “Dona Beja”, which will feed the waterfall of Lagoa do Vento.
The return was made by the same path.
We did this walk after visiting the Levada das 25 Fontes and the Levada do Risco.

Já acrescentei mais esta Levada às outras. É bonita e realmente passar ali ao lado e não a fazer não fazia qualquer sentido.
