Iniciamos o percurso em Segura. Visitamos as ruínas do castelo e a sua torre do relógio (séc. XX), o pelourinho, e seguimos por caminhos rurais, por vezes entre muros, até às ruínas das oficinas de preparação e benefeciação de minérios da Empresa Mineira de Segura Lda.
Depois deste pequeno desvio voltamos ao trilho circular, a caminho da Horta do Mirante e depois até ao campo de futebol, sempre acompanhados de longe pelas cascalheiras das antigas minas de chumbo. Pouco depois, um desvio leva-nos a a observar o que resta da actividade em antigas minas de volfrâmio, estanho e também produção de galena.
É então que tomamos um velho caminho até ao Erges, o qual acompanhamos por cerca de trezentos metros, sempre observados pelos abutres, que lá bem em cima rodopiam em câmara lenta. Estamos agora num aglomerado de azenhas, em particular na azenha do Roque, ruína curiosa e que tem muito para ensinar.
Depois há que subir, na estrada nacional inflectimos para a esquerda, passamos o posto de turismo e descemos até à ponte romana sobre o Erges, magnífica obra do tempo de Trajano (séc II). E está na hora de voltar, um pouco de estrada e um pouco de caminho rural vão-nos deixar de novo em Segura.

We started the route in Segura. We visited the ruins of the castle and its clock tower (20th century), the pillory, and followed then along rural roads, sometimes between stone walls, to the ruins of the wokshops of preparation and improving of minerals belonging to the ancient Segura Mining Co.
After this little detour we returned to the circular path, on the way to the ancient farm Horta do Mirante, and then to the football field, always accompanied from afar by the gravel pits of the ancient mines of lead. Once there, a detour leads us to observe what is left of the activity in old mines of wolfram, tin and also production of galena.
It is then that we take an old path to the river Erges (here the river marks the border Portugal / Spain), which we follow for about three hundred meters, always observed by vultures, which well above whirl in slow motion. We are now facing a cluster of watermills, particularly the so called Azenha do Roque, interesting ruin and that has a lot to teach.
Then we have to climb, reaching the national road we turn left, we pass the tourist office and we go down to the Roman bridge over the Erges, magnificent work of the time of Trajan (second century). After a few photos it's time to come back, a little of paved road and a little country lane will leave us again in Segura.
