Itinerary description
This circular route takes place in the village of Arcozelo das Maias.
It all revolves around river Gaia, a mountain river that has its spring somewhere in a little mountain called Ladario and goes all the way down the hillside to river Vouga.
A segment of around 3 to 4 of the river is explored in both sides. You can find nice waterfalls, old water mills, with luck some trouts also, and overalls idilic landscape.
Some parts are quite technical. Strongly advised not to do it in times of rain, or if had rain recently. The area is overall quite humid and with limited sun exposure.
