Itinerary description
An absolutely stunning trail with very little traffic. The path starts along a large new levada, then passes through two tunnels with lots of waterfalls along the way. The trail eventually descends into the forest before circling back up a series of stairs. It emerges at a pass then follows an old style overgrown levada. A little more uphill through the forest is followed by an incredible levada with stunning views and numerous waterfalls along the way. To complete the loop, walk on the road down for a bit. There was little traffic on the road when we walked it.
