Itinerary description
This route starts and ends at the 13th century Romanesque church - Igreja românica de Santa Maria de Gondar.
The first segment follows paved roads and then gradually moves onto dirt roads before becoming a single track dirt trail.
The route is poorly marked, with only occasional signs, so use of the app or GPS is recommended.
Whilst the distance and elevation gain are mild, there is a section of the route that descends steeply on loose surface, requiring extra attention. The use of poles would assist in this section. For this reason, I have listed the difficulty at moderate.
The route passes through wooded areas of pine and oak and offers some panoramic views of the surrounding area.
