Itinerary description
Breakfast served from 7.15am and acceptable but not as good as others. Left hotel at 8.05am.
When boardwalk finishes along coast, cross carpark on (new) boardwalk and turn right at the end of it, following the normal track. DO NOT go straight forward to the other new boardwalk across the carpark (next to the power tower).
Café Mar do Norte at 6.3km for break and toilet if needed. Next stop is the Igreja Matriz da Apúlia at 13km (Toilets located next to church and also after church on your left).
Alternative to go to windmills: continue straight and turn left on Av. da Praia and go through nice town of Apúlia. Pass by the windmills and continue straight until you turn right on R. do Canal, immediately after Restaurante Pedrinhas. Continue on dirt road and turn left on R. do Ramalhão. Longer stroll and may not be worthwhile.
You are now back on Camino track that goes to Fão. Had nice lunch at Sports café (closed 1st fortnight in September) and this time the owner gave us pebbles with Fão written. Take promenade walk just before crossing the bridge.
Predominantly cobblestone and tarmac. Not very shaded track.
ACCOMMODATION: Hotel Suave Mar. Good rooms. No kettle.
