Itinerary description

First it's a short walk in Pinhel and up to the Castle. Then it's down to the 221 by the Castle gate and then a stretch along the river. After that it's down to the bridge over Coa by the 221 with good views (there might be another option taking a dirt road from one of the villages nearby). Then you walk uphill, and after taking off from the main road there's lots of ups and downs (good exercise:)) Another option is to walk towards Pena de Agua (sign by the bridge) and take off to the right when you reach the plateau. Nice to Colmeal through the eucalyptus forest. Then it's uphill to Marofa with a fantastic panorama followed by a descent down to the medieval town of Castelo Rodrigo then ending up in Figuera de Castelo Rodrigo.
