Itinerary description

A walk out of town by the old medieval road and roman ruins. This stage goes by some of the typical tiny, old villages for this region. Quiet countryside and good views. A little detour is made to see the ruins of Dolmen de Pera do Moco. In Codesseiro - a little village with great panorama - there are some ruins from a small medieval tower. On the sandy roads towards Souro Pires and further on to Pinhel the trail passes large vineyards. In the villages you can by something to drink in the cafes and bars, but not much food.
