Itinerary description
We parked our car shortly after turning left from the roundabout coming from the Mu 314 from Portman.
We followed the small road to the restaurant underneath the lighthouse where you can also park your car and walked around the lovely bay.
After this we went up the track towards the lighthouse and went to a viewpoint. Then we followed the track along the Bateria de la Chappa. Thge track continues through the woods going gently up and down with some beautiful views until you come at a point where the track becomes very steep and goes up from 80 metres to 260 metres.
By then you have arrived at the ruins of the Bateria de Cabo Grenete, an old fort from the 1930s. Walking on you will come upon the ruins of Bateria de Las Cenizas which provides a marvellous view point almost all around.
The next three kilometres are an easy and enjoyble part as you will follow a broad, gradually descending track that leads you to the Mu 314, at a point where there is a huge parking place for people who only want to visit the Bateria and its splendid view and then walk back.
After walking along the Mu 314 for about 200 metres we took the Gr 92. What follows is a beautiful, at the beginning wide track, almost an old Roman road, that will lead you back to the parking places, providing you with some very nice views.
