Itinerary description
Nice path to be done to break a summer stay in Pelion's fantastic sea relaxing spots.
We have done twice this walk but saved just this one.
We started the centaur's path from the "door", then followed to the top. In this one the downstream course is a relaxed stroll following a farmer's service road and arriving, at the end, to the monastery and to the road, at some meters of the starting point of the path.
The other started and finishes in Makrinitsa. We followed the street downing to Portaria and so started the centaur's path from the "door", then followed to the top. The returns of the loop was coming down following the dried bed of an old streem/creek difficultly walking-down up to find again, at the end, the road to Makrinitsa.

Very beautiful path till almost halfway point.
After that junk and trash quite often. Some wild dogs on the loose, got bit, thankfully no stiches or shots needed.

The first kilometer is very good, but the two nexts are very boring (walking on the road)
I strongly discourage this circular route!! My family and I just did this path and I was attacked by a dog right past the midpoint of the trail. There evidently was a “Beware Dogs” sign in Greek. But for tourists who don’t speak Greek, this is extremely careless. We are now on our way to a hospital in Volos for my bites to be treated. Thank God my children were not bitten. Terrifying experience. No need to do a circular path, in fact the real trail ends at the top at the fountain. I would recommend people to stay on that path and return to the stone door at the bottom.
