Itinerary description
Poon Hill and then Ghorepani to Tadapani
Poon Hill is a classical trek in Nepal. Is probably the better know of the short treks for hikers that are inexperienced of afraid of high altitudes, and yet wish to see from distance some 8000 m peaks. It is really a wonderful introduction to Nepal and Himalaya's trekking and if it could be done without a guide, I am really please that nowadays you MUST hire a guide to trek with you. There are two good reasons for this: 1- you really can enjoy more with a guide that will arrange your trip for the the dayand will allow you to learn more about the people and the egion. They are usually wonderful and more than guides you may make friend. 2- It is only fair that you spend some money helping the people that you are visiting. It is a small money for you but for them it makes all the different. It is not fair attempting a trip like this trying to minimize the money you spend there. You are a guest but they really depend on your spending for living.
The hike being short you can combine it with visit to other parts of Nepal.
Spring and Autumn are the best times to hike around here. To see the forest of Rhododendron in flower cm in spring. It is really amazing!...
