Itinerary description
Hike from Pololu Lookup parking lot inside, passing through the first and second valleys and arriving to our objective: Honokane Iki. The trail is moderate, and took us 6 hours in total in and out, including a half-hour lunch and a few shorter stops to catch up breath. It has a lots of up and downs, so be prepared to walk up and down hill a lot. To enter the second valley there is a short steep part which require the use of ropes (installed already). Not too difficult but be aware. You will be rewarded by a fantastic bamboo forest afterwards. Beautiful landscape. I would not recommend doing this hike in rainy weather (or if it rained the day before) as some parts can get very muddy. In such case, one can stay in the first valley Pololu and enjoy a nice day there. Bring plenty of water.
