Nice trail, well maintained, easy to follow, nice views. Better done early in the morning when the sun is still behind the mountain so you are in the shade the whole time. If you have a company going to the monastery that can drop you off and then you meet then there that's even better as you can avoid going back the same way.
Note that the time is probably misleading, but I guess it depends on pace and group size. It took me 2 hours 45 minutes up and down for a total of 13.7Km.
It seems that my recorded trail is one way and it goes up to the monastery. I didn't record the return back. So my recorded time of 3 hours 31 minutes is more than misleading for someone who wants to walk this trail as this time is as I said for one way and spending time at the Monastery. Your time is more realistic and thank you very much for highlighting this.
So to sum up, the total distance up to Afxentiou’s hideout and back, is about 14Km?
