Itinerary description
From seaside to mountains!
After hiking to Polis from Koili and camping overnight, I decided to walk home again.
It was hot, the route had some hard and seemingly endless climbs, and the steepest end to a hike I have ever experienced.
My feet were killing me but I managed to keep plodding on, finally getting home in just under six hours.
My GPS said I did about 25 miles but this app says 31. I don't know why there is a descrepency but I think 25 is more realistic given the duration and my average walking speed of around 4mph.
This was a tough walk but I'd do it again in cooler weather and not having walked 25 miles the day before!
