Itinerary description
Pleasant walk using the well marked Essex Way to head South from Pleshey to Roxwell through horse country and coming back via the Chignalls. The walk passed three pubs, but sadly the Chequers at Roxwell does not open until the evening during the week, the Hare on the main road outside Roxwell is an imitation of a pub, although the food was decent and the Three Elms at Chignal St James looks like it has closed forever and will be sadly missed by a few stalwart locals and walkers. Shame.
