Walk along Piha beach, very famous for being where the piano movie was filmed.
You reach the beach after crossing the Wahitakere Rangers forest.
The beach is an immense expanse of volcanic sand.
We couldn't do any of the nearby tracks, since they were all cut off due to the imminent danger of collapse due to the very intense rains of the last few days.
