Itinerary description
This was the start of our itinerary. We hiked with full camping gear/packs. We decided to drive more out of Plav as the hike from the town is (like many starts in the area) not overly appealing. Asked a local to park in their field and they were kind enough to let us.
The trail starts easy enough on both paved and unpaved roads. After 5 kms or so, the trail gets much steeper, with some exposure and a lot of elevation gain in a short distance until you reach the first peak. From there, you cross a beautiful plateau until you begin the descent.
The descent is also, at times, quite steep and there are areas of scrambling across rock formations with some large steps.
The final descent into town is along a road that is now paved. Look for a trail on the left that leads to a guesthouse (Nature Guest house - highly recommended!!). This trail goes past their house and into town (of staying somewhere else)
