Planina Vogar - Prsivec - Planina Vogar (Stara Fuzina)

From Stara Fuzina drive up to the parking place for the Mostnica gorge. Here you continue on the small asphalt road for about 7,5 km up to Planina (alm) Vogar. The last part is a macadamised path. It takes about 20 minutes. In high season, one needs to pay toll of about ±10 euro at the parking place in order to be allowed to use this road.
There is a rather large parking place at Planina Vogar at 1054 m.
Start at the macadamised path in direction Prsivec. Then follow the trail through the forest, gradually climbing. Then a rather steep part leads you to the top Prsivec. Offering beautiful views on lake Bohinj as well as on the surrounding mountains. The view down to lake Bohinj (1200 m down) is breath-taking. In the North a phantastic view on Triglav mountain and in the South on the Spodnje Bohinsjke gore. On the opposite site you see cable cart and Skicenter Vogel.
When going down we pass a small farm on Planina Visevnik then going further down to the idyllic small lake on the Alm Planina pri Jezeru. There is an inn here. Follow the signs Planina Blato and then Planina Vogel. After a long walk through a dense and beautiful forest you're back at Planina Vogel.

DO follow this trail in the indicated direction. DON'T go counterclockwise: it is to steep to go down from Prsivec that way and is NOT SAFE. The alternative is to go hence and back from Planina Vogar via Koca na Planini pri jezeru.

Food and drinks and overnight stays: Planina Vogar hut and the inn at Koca na Planina pri Jezeru (small lake at Alm Jezeru).
This trail is described in Rother Wanderfuehrer Julische Alpen, trail no. 46. It is indicated on maps for Bohinj. It is very well indicated with red signs along the way.
