Itinerary description
We parked in the Carter's Mill Day Reserve at the Sawmill Settlement , just off the Mt. Buller rd. Parking for about 10 cars, picnic tables, wood bbq's but no toilets.
Head across the picnic area towards the bridge to the camping ground and pick up the start, the walk comprises of 2 parts, :- the loop and the extension to the falls.
Take the loop walk which is a lovely amble through forest and ferns along side of the Plain Creek to the half way mark and turn left here along the old tramway to head up stream to the waterfall. The waterfall was in full flow and quite spectacular.
The return journey is along the old tramway back to the starting point.
The trails are well used and clearly marked.
Quite a pretty walk along some beaut bush tracks.
Note: if you just want to do the loop walk, it's approximately 2 klm's
