3-8-2018. From Bansko we took the bus route to the Vihren shelter. The bus stopped shortly before the Banderitsa accommodation at a parking lot next to a camping site. The asphalt road continues to the shelter. After walking about 1 km on the asphalt road we entered the path and after about 1 km we arrived at the Vihren shelter in 1972 m. We climb to the path and in about 500 m we find the crossing of the paths. Right goes to Vichren from the North side of the mountain, while left on the South. We continue on the north side and after we pass through the cauldrons, we reach the ridge from which Bansko appears. We continue and after we pass a rocky passage that wants a little attention we arrive at the crossing with the path that goes directly to the Banderitsa accommodation at the beginning of the route. A little later we come across the first snow and after a point with several rocks the second snow. Continuing to the top we reach a rocky spot where there are chains to the top for safety, although I do not think they are so necessary in the summer. After the chains we reach the top with a view to Bansko and lakes that exist south. The return is from the south side. Impressive is the view of the summit after we descend for about 300 meters on the southern slope and a little further after a point where the lakes appear. We go left to the lower meadow and then we meet the intersection with the northern path and the shelter. The return from the shelter to the starting point was from the asphalt road. 300 meters from the shelter there is a circular space on the road to turn cars and buses and just before the start there are wooden stairs to cut somebody straight to the parking
