This is a really nice hike. Up on Piper there are great views and unique cairns that look like chairs - very interesting. The hike over to Belknap is easy and once you're there you have a fire tower you can go up to get an even better view of the surrounding lakes and peaks. Lots of trails in the area - we took the green trail down from the tower to the carriage road parking lot. The carriage road is a dirt / paved road, so the return trip is quick.
Will do this and other side trails again!
