Waypoints
023
Signage just past Cardiac Gate on Maidu and remnants of the old Mountain Quarries R.R.
025
First marker designating the trail as part of the Pioneer Express Trail and Western States Trail (Western States has worn off).
027
Beginning of the signage and Private Property signs just below the PCWA canal. Picture #3 shows the perimeter of the fencing of the property owner. Quite surprisingly within two-days the landowner has built a small-pump house fed by the PCWA canal (picture added on 4/22).
029
Private property sign on one of the numerous side-trails in the area. Interesting to note that it's not a no-trespassing sign. One may conclude that the land owner is aware of possible easements and public right-of-ways to the historic mining trails that dot the area and is discouraging access.
030
View of landowner built road scaring the landscape down towards Oregon Bar, sad:(
033
Fence posting and Pioneer Express / Western States trail marker crossing into private land. Another example of posted 'Auburn State Recreation Area ends here' signage.
036
Area on the trail that abuts private property boundaries with Pioneer Express Trail / Western States trail marker.
038
Pioneer Express Trail / Western States trail marker and signage on the Oregon Bar connector trail.
