Itinerary description
Esta trilha leva até as pinturas rupestres da cidade de Cerro Corá, no Rio Grande do Norte. As pinturas são resquícios arqueológicos da ocupação do nordeste do Brasil pelos índios que lá viveram. Saindo de Cerro Corá, a primeira parte da estrada é de asfalto, pegando em seguida uma estrada de terra que levará até o início do trekking para as pinturas rupestres. O trecho até o início do trekking pode ser feito de carro, moto ou bicicleta, dependendo da condição do tempo (se estiver chovendo a estrada ficará muito escorregadia). Um contato em primeira mão com o passado! Vale a pena!

This track will take you to the ancient cave paintings of Cerro Corá, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. These paintings are archeological reminiscents from the early occupation of the Brazilian northeast by the Indians that once lived in the region. Taking off from the city of Cerro Corá, the first part of this track is a regular paved road, which leads to a second dirt road that will take you to the beginning of the trekking itself. This first part is accessible by car, motorbike or bicycle, depending on the weather (watch out for slippery roads during raining season). A true contact with the past! Definitely worthwhile!
