Itinerary description
Charming and not too strenuous circular walk with regular views on Milina and the sea. You may start and end the walk at any point, the track starts and ends at the Anthea Ecolodge of Jos & Elke.
Mostly quiet country roads, some paths (at places overgrown) and a few stretches through olive groves without clear path but marked. The last part arond Milina and back to the Ecolodge is on asphalt.
The walk should take you about 3¼ hours, no water on the way but plenty of opportunities in Milina village (cafes, tavernas, shops).

When I walked the route (August 2023), the middle part of the route was unfortunately overgrown. The most troublesome were the spiky long thorns, which were difficult to dodge or lift aside. In those parts where the route was on a dirt road, the route was well traveled and the scenery was wonderful.
Dear Virpi,
I'm sorry to hear this. The route was designed by Jos & Elke from the Ecolodge, we walked it in June and cleared where necessery. Other guests in the Ecolodge have walked the trail recently and found it OK. But maybe there're more experienced in the spiky Greek nature ;-).
Anyway, thanks for informing us. The route will be cleared again as soon as there's opportunity. In the maintime other hikers know what they may expect and be prepared for a thorny part.
Regards, Anna
Très belle balade à travers de magnifiques oliveraies, avec la jolie surprise d un renard au détour du chemin. Le marquage à points rouges est très bon, sauf un passage un peu délicat où le chemin se perd dans une végétation dense dans le premier tiers.

|'m very happy to hear the route still exists after the flooding of last autumn.
I plan to walk it again in June and make a small detour so the hard part will be avoided.
sy.sonzogni, thanks for the comment!
