Itinerary description
Pilatus from Kriens via Frägmüntegg and Klimsenhorn.
Almost 1700 meters up in 3-4 hours. Challenging hike if done via the Gsässweg, that starts after Frägmuntegg. Trails are mostly easy, with some steep sections after Frägmüntegg. In these parts, you have to scramble a bit and there are cables where you can hold on to. Only do if you are an experienced hiker. Don’t do this hike when it has rained and the soil is slippery. Pass Klimsenhorn (or hike it up if you have time) and from there its 45 minutes to Pilatus Kulm.

Walk behind the restaurant for the last part of your hike. From the Esel, the views are stunning if the weather is clear.
